TIME ZONES AND TIME CHANGES IN MEXICO
As of October of 2022 the Mexican government approved a law that ended daylight savings time in most states of the country except for the 33 northern border municipalities which will continue to change clocks simultaneously with the U.S. border neighboring states. The other two exceptions are the state of Quintana Roo, and Sonora.
The Mexican Caribbean is located in the state of Quintana Roo, which includes world known destinations like Cancun, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, Akumal and Tulum as well as its beautiful tropical islands of Isla Mujeres and Cozumel. The Mexican Caribbean has established its own time zone aligned with US EST.

VISA
Another great advantage for North American travelers is that Mexico does not require a visa. As you arrive at any Mexican airport, Immigration Authorities at the port of entry will hand you a temporary tourist visa valid for 180 days which allows you to travel anywhere in Mexico and discover all the wonders and distinct cultures that every region has to offer.
